Michael Sebastian HAAS (b.1979, Germany) is a conceptual artist. He graduated from University of Media Art and design in Karlsruhe, Germany in 2007 in Product design.
Haas is dedicated to the creation of paintings and large installations. With an background of industrial design, he integrates technology and creation organically, through the use of techniques and elements such as painting, robots, light, architecture, and implant these elements into his works. Creating a theory with metabolism and kinetics of mixing art and installation, he generates a logic of "continuous evolution". The academic and educational ideas of Haas mainly come from the "generality" of art: by freely combining different media, he injects vitality into his unique "art system".
The core of his current creation is kinetic installations. Haas thinks that the processes and application in art creation is more important than single results. His work received national and international awards in Germany and Japan, and he has been invited to shows at international cultural institutions including Europe and the Middle East.
